Negan was heard saying: “Our friends had themselves an escape plan. They are out there somewhere.”
His words hint that he still can’t find them and that they could ambush him and the Saviors.
The Alexandrians could be seen in the cowering in the sewage pipes as they prepared to take on Negan.
Meanwhile, Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) led a group to try to fight Negan but appeared to encounter a host of Walkers hiding in the surrounding water.

There was a touching moment between Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) as he appeared to be succumbing to his bite.
From the trailer, Carl will continue to be the moral compass of the drama as he urged all sides to put down their arms and work towards peace.
“You put away your gun, you stopped fighting. You did what was right. It still is. You can still be like that again,” a weakened Carl told Michonne.
