Area Youth Recognized for Teamwork and Innovation at FIRST ® LEGO® League Explore Remote Festival

Contestants ages 6 to 10 took part in the annual FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) LEGO League (FLL) Explore Festival, which was held remotely on March 13th due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year’s theme was CARGO CONNECT, in which teams researched how cargo is transported to and from their community and around the world. The teams embodied the program’s Core Values of teamwork and showed great innovation in their LEGO models and Show Me Posters that they shared with Reviewers remotely.
In Explore, teams of students ages 6-10 focus on the fundamentals of engineering as they explore real-world problems, learn to design and code and create unique solutions made with LEGO bricks and powered by LEGO Education WeDo 2.0 and LEGO Spike Essential.
